When you select either the option to open a text file, whose records are to be imported into the DC Envelope Printer's table for Return Addresses, or a text file, whose records are to be imported into the DC Envelope Printer's table for Addresses, you will encounter a screen similar to the one above, or similar to the one below. (Please note: the text files you import should have a ".txt" extension. For example, MyFile.txt.)
You will see the screen immediately above, if the text file you are importing, was exported by the DC Envelope Printer, having the same address field configuration as your current app. In other words, if the file you are importing, was exported for example by a copy of the DC Envelope Printer with standard fields, and the DC Envelope Printer app you are using uses standard fields, you would see the screen immediately above. (Note also: if the file you are importing was exported by a copy of the DC Envelope Printer having standard address fields, and the DC Envelope Printer you are using has a multiline address field configuration, you would also see the screen immediately above. The converse however would not be true.) What happens in the screen above, is that the DC Envelope Printer views code embedded in the text file, that indicates that it can auto map the fields between the imported records, and the target table of the data. (Note: the term auto map generally refers to the DC Envelope Printer matching fields in the imported records, to fields in the target table in the DC Envelope Printer, having identical names, so that data can be moved and converted from records in the text file, to corresponding records in the DC Envelope Printer target table.)
If you see the screen immediately above, leave the Auto-Map Fields And Convert Records radio button selected, and click on the Execute button, to convert your imported records to records appropriate for the Return Address or Address table, in the DC Envelope Printer. If you see the first screen on the page, or you select the Map Fields radio button after being presented with the immediately above screen, click on the Map Fields / Execute button, to go to the Mapping Fields And Converting Records screen.
